Wallaceburg is a community of 10,000 located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately an hour and a half northeast of Windsor, and Southwest of London. In 1998, Wallaceburg was amalgamated to become a member of Chatham-Kent.
Located on the Sydenham River, Wallaceburg was once known as the “Glass Town of Canada,” and is currently home to WAMBO, an annual antique automobile and boat show.
Walpole Island First Nation is only minutes from Wallaceburg, and has played in integral part in Wallaceburg’s history, including providing players to the Wallaceburg Lakers organization each year.
Wallaceburg has a rich sporting history beyond the Lakers, including the Wallaceburg Red Devils Jr.B Lacrosse team, who were Canadian Champions in 2001. Wallaceburg is also home to the Wallaceburg Sting Soccer Club, Wallaceburg Warriors Baseball, and the Wallaceburg Skating Club.
